A bit of background about BBK Bilbao Good Hostel
We opened our doors in 2012 as a quality alternative for tourists visiting Bilbao, and we have backed inclusive tourism ever since, offering spaces which are accessible to everyone. We want you to feel at home, whoever you may be, and enjoy our spacious, comfortable,
We began life as a Lantegi Batuak project, with the support of BBK, giving people with disabilities the opportunity to work in the growing tourist sector.
Lantegi Batuak is a non-profit-making organisation which generates opportunities for adapted employment for people with disabilities, with preference given to people with intellectual disabilities from Biscay. Our aim is to maximise the personal development and quality of life for these people. We are a social economy enterprise whose fundamental values are our responsability, our trust in people and our commitment to society.
Here’s what we like the most about Bilbao and its surroundings!
«Going for a walk along the river and stopping for pintxos at the Ribera market.»
«I love wandering around the streets in the Old Part and having a pintxo or two in the Plaza Nueva.»
“My three favourite things to do in Bilbao are taking a boat trip on the river, climbing Pagasarri and taking in the view of the city from the top of Artxanda.”
“I like to stroll along the Campo Volantín, cross the Arenal and end the afternoon with a drink on the Muelle de Marzana.”
«The BEC’s cultural programme offers a whole range of entertainment to suit all tastes.»
“There’s nothing better than visiting the new exhibitions at the Guggenheim and going to the Arriaga theatre or the Palacio Euskalduna and taking in a play or an opera.”
“Go to Portugalete by metro, cross on the hanging bridge and stroll along the coast as far as the Puerto Viejo in Algorta.”
«Going to the beach at Bakio, having lunch and finishing off the day by visiting San Juan de Gaztelugatxe.»
